Sustainability Ethos

Being planet friendly is at the heart of what we do!

Creating high impact clothing that’s low impact to the planet.

Although no product producing business can be 100% sustainable, here are some of the things we do to ensure we are as low waste as can be…

Using fabrics already in existence…

All clothing is made using preloved or vintage fabrics that would otherwise be destined for landfill. Think dresses made from tablecloths and jackets made from curtains

Locally sourcing all textiles…

All pre-loved fabrics are sourced from the UK, reducing the carbon footprint of the finished garment.

Choosing to work with natural fibres…

Working with natural fibres such as cotton, linen, silk and bamboo wherever possible. Not only are they more breathable - they don’t release microplastics into the oceans like polyester. So it’s a win win!

Not following trends…

We are a slow fashion brand meaning we don’t follow trends and create timeless pieces you’ll treasure for years to come. Good designs last a lifetime.

Made to order within the UK…

All pieces are made by me - Katie, in my little Yorkshire home studio. A professional seamstress and pattern cutter, I’ve turned my industry honed skills to creating luxury upcycled clothing. Also, being made to order gives you the option to have it made to your measurements at no extra cost.

Recyclable packaging…

Using recycled or recyclable packaging for all orders, including branding which is printed in house on recycled card.

Making garment labels in house…

All garment labels are made using calico from toiles. This means I can make more as and when I need them rather than overproducing more than I may need. I also love how each label ends up being slightly different as it feels so in keeping to the brand.

Keeping leftover fabric for future projects…

Scraps are held on to for future projects such as scrunchies or small patchwork collections.

I am committed to keeping ethics and sustainability at the forefront of the brand as it grows and evolves.
